The ANRS has set up a tight-knit network of partnerships to ensure that the agency meets its objectives and priorities. These partnerships enable the ANRS to strengthen the interaction between science and society, to promote the transfer and application of results, and to facilitate access to new products useful for research.
The ANRS sponsors a large number of clinical trials, which are essentially designed to evaluate new therapeutic strategies. For this purpose, the ANRS undertakes collaborations with pharmaceutical firms, several of which may be involved in a single clinical trial.
Likewise, to ensure the success of its AIDS vaccine research program and of the research done by the Vaccine Research Institute (VRI), the ANRS collaborates with industry, which can develop candidate vaccines stemming from the research.
Work on the follow-up of patient cohorts and on prevention projects also involves the creation of collaborations with industry.
